I began writing this blog when the frustration of building a new home became too great and I couldn’t find anyone else’s experience online. My husband and I are in the process of tearing down his mother’s house to build our own new home on the same site. We have run into several hurdles and rocks in the road – things we had no idea to expect – and have so far conquered each one with at least a smidge of grace. Overall, in the grand scheme of things, my life could be so much worse and I could be facing challenges tons worse than those in home construction. So, it is with tears of laughter and frustration that I share our journey.

Wow! Another way to learn more about you and Kenny and all that you are experiencing in building your home! Also, what a wonderful record that you will have for years to come, and to be able to look back on and see how far you have progressed.

Even though I know what happens next, it’s wonderful to read what you have to write. I know that someday, when your dream has come true, it will be even more meaningful to have detailed the journey in your blog. Know that I’m here for you always.

Well, I’ve finally caught up on the latest installments. Still cool. And so good to see that hint of good humor throughout–where you get that from? And the writing is still sharp–where you get that from? (I know, I know. “You’re crazy”; “I get that from you.”)
